Swagata (maiden name Mukherjee) is a recognized musical talent from Calcutta, West Bengal. She has performed extensively throughout India and in the US. She has an extensive repertoire that extends from the traditional classical (such as Kheyal) to light classicals such as Thumri, Kajri, Hori, Bhajan etc. to geets such as Nazrul-geets, Rabindra-sangeet and other modern songs in Hindi and Bengali.
Her talent has won her many awards from several reputed organizations and committees. Recently she performed with the Living Legend, Manna Dey onstage at several locations across US (New Jersey, New York and California among others).
